Fees, Features, & Furnishings

Tucked into Anaheim behind lawns, hedges, mature trees, and that very useful little thing called actual parking, The Griffith House is a historic Spanish-style wedding venue with whitewashed walls, a red-tile roof, garden paths, a chapel, a sanctuary, and outdoor lawns that know exactly how to flirt with golden hour. The house dates to 1925, and the venue frames itself around three ceremony options: the intimate chapel inside the historic house, the larger church sanctuary, or an outdoor ceremony surrounded by trees and greenery.

This is the venue for the couple who wants historic charm without museum energy. The chapel brings original woodwork and stained glass for smaller ceremonies up to 70 guests, while the sanctuary seats up to 300 if your guest list is less “intimate gathering” and more “we know everyone and apparently love them all.” Outdoors, the lawns and gardens keep the feeling soft, leafy, and romantic, with a white wedding arch, fountain, twinkle lights, and the Griffith House itself acting as the kind of vintage backdrop that makes photos look collected rather than staged.

Receptions are held outdoors in the garden, which is where The Griffith House starts to feel especially sweet: dinner under lights, greenery wrapping the space, guests moving easily between ceremony, cocktails, and the party without needing a map, a shuttle, or a search-and-rescue team. It is garden party romance with practical bones — charming, flexible, and refreshingly usable. The venue also includes access to a bridal suite, groom’s lounge, parking, and exclusive use of the grounds for the event day, with Hutchinson Weddings assisting with planning and day-of coordination.

The real appeal is the mix: Spanish-style architecture, garden softness, indoor ceremony backup energy, bring-your-own-vendor flexibility, and pricing that does not immediately require a fainting couch. Here Comes The Guide lists the rental fee at approximately $4,000–$5,000 per event, with a 20% service charge or gratuity, though couples should confirm current pricing directly with the venue.

Wedding Day Blueprint

Welcome to The Griffith House, a historic home that feels less like a venue and more like being let in on a very good secret. I’m your venue director for the day, and I promise: this wedding flows with purpose, never pressure.

Getting Ready

The day begins on-site, which is a gift you’ll appreciate by noon. The house offers private prep spaces that keep the energy contained and the timeline intact. Hair and makeup unfold in natural light, champagne appears early, and no one is racing a clock. Calm is curated here—intentionally.

Pre-Ceremony

Guests arrive through the front of the property and immediately sense a strong sense of place. The architecture steadies the mood. Guests wander the grounds, find their bearings, and settle in without needing instructions. The venue does the heavy lifting—clear circulation paths, historic bones, and zero guesswork.

Ceremony

The ceremony typically takes place outdoors, where the house forms a romantic backdrop without overpowering the moment. Seating feels balanced and guest-centered, the aisle moment lands cleanly, and the energy reads sacred but modern. It’s an intimate ceremony setting—emotionally grounded, scenic without distraction, and naturally photogenic.

Appetizers & Cocktails

As vows conclude, guests drift—never rush—into cocktail hour. This cocktail hour migration gives us time for a discreet ceremony reset. Chairs clear, tables appear, florals get thoughtfully repurposed. Guests enjoy a true cocktail hour moment while behind-the-scenes magic stays invisible, as it should.

Dinner Reception

Dinner unfolds in the courtyard, where the reception reveal moment feels effortless rather than theatrical. Lighting warms the space, tablescapes tell a cohesive visual story, and seated dinner service anchors the evening. Pacing feels natural, conversation flows, and nothing feels forced. This is comfortable sophistication at work.

Dancing & Merriment

Once dinner wraps, the energy builds organically. The dance floor fills, music carries the night, and momentum never dips. Shoes come off, laughter carries late, and the space comes alive without tipping into chaos. It’s high-energy reception joy, scaled perfectly to the house.

End of the Night

The evening closes gently—no mass exits, no confusion. Guests say their goodbyes under soft lighting, hosts stay relaxed, and the night ends strong rather than abruptly.

This is the ideal flow—but think of it as a blueprint, not a mandate. Want to shift dinner inside, extend cocktails, or front-load the party? The plan flexes gracefully, and The Griffith House is ready to follow your lead.
