Folktale Winery in Carmel Valley, I mean, the name says it all. This place is straight out of a storybook. The atmosphere here is pure magic and romance, like a fairy tale decided to settle down and open a winery. Packages we can customize, so don’t panic just yet. Facility fees start at around $10K, and it comfortably fits up to 200 guests. While there are no overnight rooms on-site, Carmel is full of charming hotels, so your guests can make a weekend of it.

Getting Ready & First Looks

You and your bridal party arrive at our chic Vineyard House (or barrel-adjacent lounge if you’re feeling extra). While you sip something sparkling from our award-winning cellar, your photographer captures the “quiet before the storm.”

Ceremony in the Rose Vineyard & Courtyard

We wander over to the open-air Rose Vineyard lawn, flanked by the Santa Lucia Mountains and rows of vines — yes, those exact views. Guests are greeted with a chilled glass, you walk down the aisle, we say “I do”, and we’re officially on our way.

Cocktail Hour in the Wine Garden/Greenhouse

Post-ceremony, we hop into the Wine Garden or the Greenhouse for mingling, hors d’oeuvres, and photo ops (the scenery pretty much decorates itself).

Grand Entrance & Dinner in the Barrel Room

Time to make your grand entrance into the Barrel Room — imagine stacks of barrels, pretty lighting, and a vibe that says “yes, you CAN have both rustic charm and elegance.” Dinner is served, toasts happen, tears may emerge (especially from Mom). Sunset Vineyard Walk, Then Dancing
As the golden hour hits the vines, your photographer will sweep you off for dreamy portraits. Meanwhile, guests move into the reception space and dancing begins. We keep it moving so everything flows effortlessly — no awkward gaps, no “what now?” moments.

Dessert & Last Call

We circle back to the Greenhouse or terrace for cake, coffee, maybe a cheeky second glass of rosé. We wrap up the formal program, but the party? That’s yours.

Exit

We gently usher things toward a close (because even the best parties need an end) and you slip out into the night, starry sky overhead, vineyard sighing contentedly.This blueprint is a building block (yes, straight from pages of the planning playbook) — you can tweak it, shuffle the hours, shine your personal light all over it. Folktale Winery is where a wine-country garden party meets a hospitality-led culinary program. This isn’t a blank-canvas vineyard—you’re not stitching together rentals and hoping it all works. Folktale offers a defined food and beverage vision that feels polished, immersive, and intentionally curated.

Food and bar service are handled entirely in-house by the winery’s culinary and hospitality team. There’s no outside catering model here, and that’s by design. The payoff is a seamless experience where menus, service flow, and timing are built to work beautifully with the property.
